We did it!

In collaboration with the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department, City Sprouts spent much of this summer laying the groundwork for a new community garden at Sherman Community Center (16th Street and Storz Expressway). On July 22 and 23, with the help of some beloved volunteers, we built and installed the new beds and filled them with a mix of fertile soil and OmaGro compost. The Sherman’s Kids Clubhouse planted throughout the week of July 23, tomatoes and peppers and sunflowers and watermelons. And now, now! Omaha has a new community garden.
