Community Garden

City Sprouts was started in 1995 when community members came together to reclaim an overgrown city lot and make it a garden.  The groups organizers bought the 1/2 acre lot and, with the help of hundreds of volunteers, weeds were cleared, beds were dug, and seeds panted.  Today, the garden is planted each year and maintained by City Sprouts staff and Garden Crew volunteers.  The garden is open 365 days a year, dawn til dusk.  The garden is free and open to the public to harvest.
