garden to table

Through a partnership with The Big Garden, we teach the Garden-to-Table (G2T) after-school program at 8 Omaha Public middle schools: Marrs, McMillan, Morton, Monroe, Norris, Nathan Hale, Lewis and Clark, and King Science. City Sprouts specifically runs the program at the King Science and Lewis and Clark middle schools. During the programs, students learn how to grow vegetables and herbs in their school garden as well as how to harvest, cook, and preserve these crops through various methods. This program specifically highlights STEM education through plant science and organic gardening techniques, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles. We thank Collective For Youth for partnering with us and providing the grant that makes this program possible!
